Beggars Society
Beggars Society is a US-based ministry of WMF which seeks to prophetically proclaim that in surrendering our lives to Jesus, we are also called to the poorest of the poor – for this is where He said He would be found (Matthew 25). Together we aim to biblically respond to the reality of the world’s poor, offering our voice for those whose voices are not heard. Our hope is God would teach us how He can love the world’s poor through us. In turn, we believe we will reciprocally experience His love through them.
Beggars Society meets monthly, on the second Sunday of each month at 7:00 pm. The meetings are held at the WMF USA office in downtown Omaha, NE, at 1011 Leavenworth Street.
Parking is available on the street and in the lot under the 10th street bridge on the north side of Leavenworth – spaces 38-47 & 58-64. All are welcome – no invitation necessary. We hope to see you soon! Please contact Marcia Ghali for further information.
Next Month's Meeting - September 14 : Celebration and Evaluation. We invite you to join us around the table for an evening of celebration and evaluation of Beggars Society.
Future Meetings
October 12 : Suffering, Jamie Tworkowski. Jamie will welcome us into the journey of To Write Love on Her Arms, TWLOHA, an outreach offering hope and help to teenagers who are struggling with depression and self-destructive behavior.
